Welcome to St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church, where we are so much more than a group gathered for worship. We are a family with enormous spiritual energy, supporting each other through the joys and challenges we face individually, both within our church family and our community.

We are incredibly diverse and recognize the joys and strengths our diversity brings. Our greatest strength is our love of Jesus Christ and our desire to serve Him by bringing people into the fullness of Christ and nurturing their spiritual growth.

Worship is important to us. We are flexible in our worship, offering a Saturday Contemplative evening service, a traditional Episcopal Sunday service, as well as a Contemporary Unplugged service with a live band. Our Sunday services are streamed live to allow others to worship with us.

Staff

Mother Mary Ellen began serving at Saint Joseph’s in August 2024 and loves the people who have been so warm and accepting of her and her ministry!  She also loves the spirit of Jesus that permeates the services. The music is exceptional and the liturgies varied and holy.

Mother Mary Ellen grew up in Miami, Florida in the sunshine and is a graduate of Barry University with a Doctorate of Ministry in Practical Theology. 

Prior to St Joe’s, Mother Mary Ellen has held positions at several schools in South Florida (Miami Country Day School. Saint Andrew’s School, St. Christopher’s Montessori School, and Palmer Trinity School) as well as serve at St. Mark’s Ft. Lauderdale.

Most important, she enjoys spending any free time with her husband, reading, walking her Cocker Spaniel, Simba, and being with friends and family.
