Saint Margaret of Scotland Chapter
Members of The Order of the Daughters of the King® are women and girls who desire a closer walk with the Lord. We are Christian women, both lay and ordained, who are strengthened through the discipline of a Rule of Life, and supported through the companionship of our sisters. We are all at different stages of our Christian journey – some have just begun and some have been on this path for a long time. But no matter where we are on our sacred journeys, our primary goal is the same – to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known to others.
In addition to sharing active roles in the maintenance and operation of the church, men that are searching for ways to develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, to become more Christ-like, to become disciples. Brotherhood is a ministry for men and boys in the Episcopal Church. The Brotherhood was founded in 1883, and was incorporated in 1908 by an Act of Congress, signed by President Theodore Roosevelt.
The purpose of this organization shall be to empower the women of The Episcopal Church to carry out Christ’s work throughout the world. As the eyes, ears, hands, and heart of Christ in the world, we will persist in the work of healing, justice, and peace.
The Cursillo experience starts with a three-day weekend, which takes a New Testament look at Christianity as a lifestyle. It is a highly structured weekend designed to strengthen and renew the faith of Christians, and through them their families, parishes, work environments, and the world in which we live. Cursillo is a combined effort of laity and clergy toward the Church.
